Last night at a friend's birthday gathering I met one of her colleagues. As we sat around chatting about love, life, and art, this colleague mentioned she'd seen Van Gogh: Brush with Genius at the Kramer IMAX Theatre. In a room containing several artists, the reactions were extremely positive! "Oh I have to see that!" was said more than once.

An elephant in an Australian zoo has shocked vets by giving birth to a live elephant calf which zoo-keepers believed had died in the womb.

Art and science go really nicely together, and I'm happy to say we've been able to bring them together a few times lately.

On Saturday, March 6 we will be at the Dunlop Art Gallery at the Sherwood Village Branch of the Regina Public Library to help out with Germination Nation Day.

While perusing the news today I found an article about a new book called 59 Seconds, by Richard Wiseman. The description: it "exposes self-help myths and presents scientifically proven techniques that help you achieve your aims and ambitions in less than a minute.
