A generous donation

Today we were honoured to receive two donations presented a gentleman that has had a long personal history with the Saskatchewan Science Centre.
Pieter Van Vliet is a member of the Canadian Society for Senior Engineers (CSSE) and presented to us a cheque for $1000, donations he solicited for us. He also asked the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) to match that, which they did! This money will go directly towards the Saskatchewan Science Centre Summer Day Camps program.
Here is Mr Van Vliet presenting both cheques to our Executive Director, Sandy Baumgartner, in front of our mining exhibit.
Afterwards, while chatting, Mr Van Vliet explained that he used to bring his kids here when they were young, and he says he still brings his grandchildren as well. It's nice to see the love of the Science Centre being passed down through the generations!
