Discovery Fund

Nexen Discovery Fund
Each year thousands of school children, schools and countless numbers of individuals and community groups visit the Saskatchewan Science Centre to experience the wonder and excitement found in the 100+ interactive exhibits and exhilarating IMAX films. Unfortunately, not every family or community group in the province can afford the cost of admission. The Nexen Discovery Fund provides financial assistance to priority communities so they may enjoy a visit to the Saskatchewan Science Centre or participate in our GO! science outreach programming.
Sponsored by Nexen Inc. and Evraz Inc., along with a portion of a Saskatchewan Science Centre Corporate Membership and private donations, the Nexen Discovery Fund has supported thousands of community schools and groups, including community schools, transition homes, shelters, the clients of human service organizations, community youth groups and Aboriginal community services.
Eligibility
Applications for funding are accepted at all times throughout the year. Each application is reviewed individually and the level of assistance is provided according to assessed need. Any group or community school which involves under-privileged youth and families and/or at risk communities are eligible to apply.
To apply, complete the Nexen Discovery Fund application form and fax it to (306) 525-0194.
