Field Trip Information
The huge number of programming options available to teachers interested in visiting the Saskatchewan Science Centre makes it easy to plan a learning-filled day beyond the classroom. In fact, there are so many options it can sometimes be confusing deciding what to do. Let us help! We've designed several discounted day plans to help you get the most from your time with us.
Groups who need finanacial assistance should consider applying to the Discovery Fund.
Workshop and a Movie*
Book an IMAX film with your admission and get any 30 minute workshop for free, or a longer workshop at half price.
The Double Feature
See one IMAX film and see a second one for just $2.75 per student. A further $1.00 discount applies to any advance concession orders.
Design-Your-Own Science Adventure* (K - Grade 3)
Choose any two 30 minute workshops and save $0.50 per student. It's a complete morning or afternoon that's also great for pre-schoolers.
Cosmic Voyagers* (K- Grade 3)
Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy by saving $0.50 per student when booking Star Lab with Planets at Play.
Day of Dissection* (Grades 6 - 12)
Learn basic techniques with a pig heart in Cardiac Cut-Up, then move on to more advanced procedures with a fetal pig in Amazing Anatomy. Book both workshops and we'll slash the price $1.00 per student.
Plan your day far enough in advance, and we'll be able to reserve a private space for your class for lunch.
Remember that admission to the Saskatchewan Science Centre also includes free hourly stage show demonstrations, screenings in the SaskTel Max Theatre, downloadable scavenger hunts, and smart spending opportunities in our Gift Shop, as well as access to more than 150 permanent exhibits plus visiting exhibits that change seasonally. Every visit is unique!
Please have your class at the Science Centre 15 minutes before your workshop. If you have a climbing workshop, please be here 30 minutes before so we can collect and check waiver forms.

Fun Fact
Turkey
vultures search for food using smell, a practice that is not common among
birds. As long as they can smell
carrion, they can locate it even if they cannot see it.
