Book Our Facility

The Saskatchewan Science Centre can be booked for almost any kind of event!

• Staff parties
• Private screenings for staff and client events
• Media conferences
• Product and sales launches
• Client and employee information sessions
• Fundraisers
• Concert screenings
• and whatever else your imagination can create!

You are able to book the following areas for your personal or corporate use:

• Exhibit floor (capacity: 500)
• Kramer IMAX Theatre (capacity: 165)
• Small Theatre (capacity: 100)
• Leader-Post Boardroom (capacity: 12)
• IMAX Boardroom (capacity: 30)
• Sunlight Room (capacity: 60)

Ample free parking is available.

We will invoice you for the rental after your meeting or event has taken place. Please note any A/V equipment and specialty items will be coordinated by the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Charges for these additional items will be added to your invoice.

Exhibit floor

You can plan almost any sort of event to take place on our exhibit floor. Past events include large cocktail parties and family-friendly staff events. During the winter the exhibit floor is closed to the public during evenings, weekend mornings, and all day on Mondays but it is available for private bookings.

The possibilities are endless, and this option is more affordable than you might expect!

Capacity: 500

Location: the entire Saskatchewan Science Centre

Point of entry: Saskatchewan Science Centre doors (west side of building)

Features: two stage areas, lots of room for tables to hold dainties and cocktails, and three floors of exhibits

Kramer IMAX Theatre

You can use the giant screen for PowerPoint presentations including media launches and Annual General Meetings, video games, or DVDs that you bring yourself! Or, enjoy a private screening of one of our IMAX films.

Seating: 165

Location: east side of the Saskatchewan Science Centre

Point of entry: Kramer IMAX Theatre doors on southeast side of building

Features: giant IMAX screen (52 feet high and 72 feet wide), ultra-comfortable theatre seating

Small Theatre

This small film theatre is perfect for PowerPoint presentations including media launches and Annual General Meetings, video games, or DVDs that you bring yourself!

Seating: 100

Location: on the first floor of the Saskatchewan Science Centre behind the climbing wall

Point of entry: Saskatchewan Science Centre doors (west side of building)

Features: theatre screen, comfortable theatre seating, internet access upon request

Sunlight Room

This unique space and patio has a perfect view of Wascana Marsh (a nationally protected bird sanctuary) and Park. It's a great location for a seated dinner, reception, or get-together.

Seating: 50 seated; 60 for cocktails. More if you use the patio.

Location: Main Floor of the Science Centre

Point of entry: Private entrance (south side of the building)

Features: Has a separate back room, tables and chairs can be re-arranged or removed, and access to the patio can be added. Also has its own private entrance.

Leader-Post Boardroom

Fantastic for meetings!

• Half day: $100 plus GST

• Full day: $150 plus GST

Seating: Maximum of 12 people

Location: 2^nd Floor of the Science Centre (adjacent to Science Centre Admin Office)

Point of entry: Saskatchewan Science Centre doors (west side of building)

Features: Pull-down screen and whiteboard (4’ x 4’) and internet access upon request.

Size: 375 square feet

Layout: Basic boardroom style with a single wood table and 12 padded executive chairs (sorry no room for rearrangement). Room also contains a sink, counter and cupboard space. 

IMAX Boardroom

Fantastic for meetings! 

• Half day: $100 plus GST

• Full day: $150 plus GST

Seating: Maximum of 30 people

Location: 3^rd Floor of IMAX Theatre.

Point of entry: Kramer IMAX Theatre doors (southeast side of building)

Features: Pull down screen & whiteboard (4’ x 4’) and Internet access upon request

Size: 635 square feet

Layout: Overlooking beautiful Wascana Park and marsh land, this meeting room is filled with natural sunlight with direct access to outdoor deck. Basic boardroom style with several tables arranged to form a single large table plus 30 chairs.  Tables can be rearranged to suit your needs.

We have designed enjoyable and energizing group activities to encourage team building or just have a fun break. Activities are available at a reasonable cost and can be adapted to meet your individual group needs.
