March is Medieval Science Month, March 1 – 31, 2010

Explore the history of science! Join us as we take a fun look at the principles of science and how they have changed over the ages.
Come see our working trebuchet, colour on the turrets decorating the floor, make your own coat of arms, take in the Alchemy Stage Show, do the Fact or Fiction Scavenger Hunt, make a wood block book, and find out about science from a medieval perspective.
Teachers can also book their classes to see one of our marvelous half-hour medieval workshops:
- Attack! Learn how to make your own siege weapons.
- From leeches to the Black Death, learn all about medieval medicine.
- From Rags to Paper, make recycled paper the medieval way.
These workshops are $1.50 for one or $3.00 for all three for teachers and their classes.
As well for everyone, Vikings: Journey to New Worlds, will be featured at the Kramer IMAX Theatre from March 23 though March 27. Saturday, March 27th marks the Grand Finale of Medieval Science Month with medieval re-enactments in our lobby, trebuchet launchings, and more!

Fun Fact
Tigers not only have striped fur, they have
striped skin.
The striped pattern is
unique to each tiger, the same way fingerprints are unique to each person.
