Welcome to Cinemagic Science Camp, where the science of movies takes center stage! Dive into the world of filmmaking as we explore the physics of special effects, the chemistry of on-screen magic, and the biology behind Hollywood's most iconic creatures. Get ready for a blockbuster week filled with lights, cameras, action, and plenty of popcorn-fueled fun!

To register your child or children for one of our Day Camps, you can:

Frequently Asked Questions
Can someone else pick up my child?
Parents are required to list the name, phone number, and relationship of all of those who will be picking up their child up upon signing up for camp. Alternate pick-up for your child can be arranged by contacting us via email or phone number listed on your child’s file or upon drop off in the morning. Adults not listed in the camp file will not be allowed to take campers home. Photo ID is required for all adults picking up campers at the end of every day.
Can I pick up my child early?
Absolutely. Please let the camp leaders know in the morning when dropping your child off. When you arrive, you may talk to the front desk staff, who will help you in locating your child’s camp.
What are your behaviour policies?
The safety of every camper is our highest priority. We expect all campers to follow the Saskatchewan Science Centre behaviour guidelines and to interact in a positive and appropriate manner with their fellow campers, staff, and other guests of the Saskatchewan Science Centre.
We understand that behavioural issues can arise during the camp. We will do our best to meet individual needs and ensure that issues are dealt with efficiently and respectfully. Ideally, behaviour management is straightforward between campers and staff.
Here are some actions that staff may take to help ensure positive behaviour:
Verbal warning to child
Child sitting out of an activity
Call to parents informing of child’s behaviour
Behaviour (including, but not limited to physical/verbal abuse, bullying, self-harm, consistent disrespect, etc.) that negatively affects one’s physical or emotional state may result in immediate dismissal or removal from camp at the sole discretion of the Saskatchewan Science Centre.
In any instance where a camper is being sent home from camp (for behavioural or health reasons), our staff will work with parents/guardians to develop a plan for when and/or if the child returns to camp. Fees associated with a camper’s removal from the camp for behavioural reasons are not refundable. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
What should my child bring to camp?
We ask that you send your child dressed for the weather. We like to take advantage of our location in Wascana Park and venture outside when the weather permits. We may do experiments that could create a mess, so we recommend kids’ clothes be appropriate for these cases.
Some things you may wish to send with your child include sunscreen, bug repellant and a hat.
Please send your child to camp with a lunch and two snacks for breaks. When packing these, please ensure that these are peanut-free. Please be aware that there is no access to refrigerators or microwaves to cool or reheat food.
Please send your child with a refillable water bottle. We also have numerous water fountains throughout our facility.
Should my child bring any electronic devices to camp?
We recommend that all electronic devices such as phones, tablets, cameras, or gaming devices be left at home to avoid loss or damage. We ask that children do not bring collectible cards or valuables either.
