Join us for 24 Hours of Science!

24 straight hours of hands-on science fun? You bet! Every hour there will be something new to learn about, see, try, or explore!

We're packing a full 24 hours with demonstrations, dissections, experiments, activities, stage shows, movies, and so much more!

June 29th to 30th, 2018

24 Hours All Access - $24/person

Includes 24 amazing hours of programming and a pancake breakfast from Skye Cafe & Bistro.

Important Times

June 29 - 18:00: 24 Hours of Science Begins

June 29 - 23:00: Science Centre doors close for sleepover. All guest sleeping over must be pre-registered. IMAX remains open all night long with films and special science programming in the IMAX Lobby.

June 30 - 07:30: Pancake breakfast begins! Included in 24 Hours of Science Admission price

June 30 - 09:30: Science Centre and IMAX pricing returns to normal, thanks to the generous support of SaskCentral. A full day of programming begins!

June 30 - 18:00: 24 Hours of Science wraps up for another year!

Friday, June 29th

  • The Sound of Science Stage Show
    • See this brand new stage show for the very first time!

19:00 - 23:00

  • Nerdy Derby

    • Make a custom race car and send it down the track to  find the speediest racer.

  • Pendulum Painting

    • Create a work of art using paint, and the rhythm of a pendulum. Take home your creation after it dries.

  • The Static Stage Show

  • Squid Dissection (sign-up required)
    • Dissect preserved squids to learn about and explore their unique anatomy and get a first-hand experience with specimen dissection.

  • America's Musical Journey (Rated G, 45 minutes)
    • See our latest IMAX documentary that explores the culture and creativity of the music that shaped America.

  • The Blood and Guts Stage Show

  • Squid Dissection (sign-up required)
    • Dissect preserved squids to learn about and explore their unique anatomy and get a first-hand experience with specimen dissection.

    •  Join us in the IMAX to see this drama with fairy tale elements, where an orphaned musical prodigy uses his gift as a clue to finding his birth parents. Not presented in IMAX format.

  • Lego Robots and Scrap Bots
    • Who needs sleep? Come hang out in the IMAX, build a robot and teach it to run a maze.

  • School of Rock (Rated G, 109 minutes)
    • Come on out to the IMAX for this rocking classic. After being kicked out of a rock band, Dewey Finn becomes a substitute teacher of a strict elementary private school, only to try and turn it into a rock band. Not presented in IMAX format.

  • Pirate Radio (Rated PG, 117 minutes)
    • Join us in the IMAX and continue our theme of sticking it to the man - with music! A band of rogue DJs that captivated Britain, playing the music that defined a generation and standing up to a government that wanted classical music, and nothing else, on the airwaves.     • I'ts a rock rock rock rock, rock n roll high school! Join us bright and early, or stay up late for this 1979 classic. A group of rock-music-loving students, with the help of the Ramones, take over their school to combat its newly installed oppressive administration. Not presented in IMAX format.

    • Football Sask. will be leading all ages in some great football activities! Test your skills, go up against obstacles, or even have a friendly game with your family and friends.

  • Banana Sutures
