Adult Science Night: The Great Outdoors

Spring is almost here (we hope), so let's do some science in The Great Outdoors! Our entire exhibit floor will be open and we've got some great added activities for you. Please come dressed for the weather, as some activities will take place outside.

Cycle-ology

As well as being an environmentally-friendly, fun way to explore the city, the humble bicycle is actually the most efficient vehicle you can get! Find out why by taking an indoor ride.

Transmitter Hunting with RARA (Regina Amateur Radio Association)

Form a team under the guidance of RARA volunteers, pick up the signal on your ‘ham’ radio and hunt down the strange transmissions that are coming from outside the Science Centre.  There will be several hunts throughout the evening, but it will get more challenging as it gets dark. First hunt is at 7.30pm

Nature’s Blueprints

Did you know you can take photographs using only the sun? Make some nature-inspired art with our special cyanotype paper, using natural or artificial light to develop the prints.

Planting in Paper

Have a go at (recycled) paper-making, and plant some seeds at the same time! We will be getting a little messy and making seed paper to take home and grow.

Adult Science Nights are the Saskatchewan Science Centre – only for those 19+! Enjoy more advanced programming, new themes every month, a licensed bar and snacks, and all the science fun you can handle.

7pm-10pm on select dates

Admission: $12+gst. Science Centre Members get a 20% discount!

These are licensed events, only those 19 years of age and older are able to attend.
