Antibiotic Resistance: The Germs Are Learning… So Should We!

Wednesday, May 20 | 9:30 am–12:00 pm

Join us for an engaging Science Connections session featuring Dr. Kara Loos.

Antibiotics don’t always work the way they used to, so what does that mean for you? In this talk, we’ll break down antimicrobial resistance in simple terms, talk about when to be concerned, and share everyday ways to stay safe and healthy.

Participants will enjoy a 45-minute presentation, followed by time for questions, discussion, and reflection in a relaxed, welcoming environment. As with all Science Connections sessions, the morning also includes time to explore the Science Centre’s exhibit floor, an IMAX Documentary film, and complimentary Caliber Coffee.

This session is designed to be informative, engaging, and confidence-building – perfect for curious minds interested in science, energy, and the future of innovation.
