About The Saskatchewan Science Centre
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is a non-profit, non-governmental educational organization dedicated to igniting scientific curiosity and discovery across Saskatchewan. Through interactive, dynamic, and engaging experiences, we inspire people of all ages to explore science, technology, and innovation while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Since opening our doors in 1989, we’ve welcomed more than five million visitors, making us one of Saskatchewan’s premier family attractions. Located in the heart of beautiful Wascana Park at 2903 Powerhouse Drive in Regina, we’re proud to serve our community year-round as a place where curiosity comes to life.
This Land Acknowledgment is part of an ongoing conversation as we work toward reconciliation.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 Territories — the traditional lands of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda peoples, and the homeland of the Michif/Métis Nation.
We recognize the long history of observation, experimentation, and innovation practiced by Indigenous peoples on these lands, whose scientific and ecological knowledge continues to shape our understanding of the world.
In the spirit of reconciliation and shared learning, we commit to creating space for Indigenous voices, perspectives, and knowledge systems in the stories we tell and the curiosity we ignite.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre has chosen to implement Code Adam to protect the children in our facility.
What is a “Code Adam”?
A “Code Adam” is a special alert issued to employees that includes procedures to be followed when a visitor reports a missing child. All employees are trained to take immediate action to help safely locate and reunite the child with their parent or guardian.
