The Saskatchewan Science Centre (SSC) Board of Directors are recruiting new board members for terms beginning at our AGM on April 22, 2026. If you are a Science Centre member with an interest in shaping the future of the organization, please send your expression of interest along with a resume to info@sasksciencecentre.com on or before March 15, 2026.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre’s mission is to ignite scientific curiosity and discovery across Saskatchewan through interactive dynamic and engaging opportunities. We are seeking board candidates from across the province with experience in Indigenous relations, community partnership development, fundraising, and finance.
The skills and experiences of a successful board member include:
Contributing to the long-term direction of the SSC through strategic thinking and sound judgement.
Offering practical ideas to support the organization’s ongoing improvement and success.
Approaching issues with a broad view while using a holistic and provincial lens.
Effectively building formal and informal connections in the community.
Respecting and valuing diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultures.
Supporting the SSC programs, events, financial, and fundraising activities.
The time commitment required:
Board members will serve a one (1) or two (2) year (renewable) term.
The Board of Directors meets approximately six times per year, at the Annual Members Meeting in April, and at a Strategic Planning Session in late August or early September.
Willingness to participate on at least one of the board’s committees.
