Adult Science Night: Robot Takeover

Come find out how to build your own robots, control them as best you can, or finally accept the future and turn yourself into a machine. I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords!

  • The UofR Space and Robotics Club
    • Special Guests Roman Yushchyk and friends will bring some Arduino-powered robots to demonstrate, and present on their research and what goes on at the university robotics club.
  • Control Yourself!
    • Turn yourself into a video game controller! Learn to use our Makey Makey system and play some retro video games controlled by your own body. Or bananas. Or Play-doh. Or anything else you can find.
  • Make a Robot hand
    • Everyone could do with a spare hand every now and then. Come build a fully articulated robot hand for those times when you need to extend your reach a little.
  • Robot Jenga
    • Battle your opponent playing Jenga with our robot arms. Can you build a tower without touching the blocks?

Plan with your friends on Facebook!
