Adult Science Night: Hipster 101 - Upcycling

Old items can be “upcycled” into trendy new things. Be the hippest hipster and check out our upcycling activities to celebrate Earth Month! Here's what we'll be doing:

Plastic Bag Coasters
Tired of looking at your hoard of bags? Find out how to fuse them to make unique items, such as coasters to protect your upcycled pallet coffee table.

Rolled Paper Beads
Did you find a stack of magazines? Use them to make jewelry that no one else has. Totally instagrammable.

Edible Water Bottles
Who needs water bottles when you can use chemistry to make your own? And you can eat it too! Literally the coolest.

Cardboard City
Reuse cardboard and build a tiny city. You can even say, “What is this? A CITY FOR ANTS?” Or pretend to be Godzilla. Maybe you'll go viral.

Habitat for Humanity Regina ReStore will have a booth to talk about the products they carry and projects they've seen from people. They're a great upcycling resource!

SaskGames will be out! Board and card games are almost as on trend as Unicorn Frapps.

Adult Science Nights are the Saskatchewan Science Centre – only for those 19+! Enjoy more advanced programming, new themes every month, a licensed bar and snacks, and all the science fun you can handle.
