Join us as we release the rescue bats who have been overwintering with us!
We'll gather by the deck near the play structure, and at 8pm Erin, a grad student in Biology at the UofR and partner in our bat program, will give a short talk. Then, at about 8:30pm, we’ll move to a designated area of the park a short distance away to release the bats.
Our Atom + Geek Science Shop will be open from 7pm-9:30pm to get your bat plushie souvenirs (only $10.99+tax)! Entrance to the store will be available on the deck.
Please dress for the weather as we will be outside for the duration of the event. Washrooms will be available at the Kramer IMAX Theatre.
This event is free for the public and all ages are welcome. Cash donations will be gladly accepted, and we thank you for supporting both our Bat Rescue Program through your donation, and the Science Centre as a whole.
This event is subject to cancellation due to weather. As we'll be dealing with wildlife, please respect all staff instructions and physical barriers. This is for the health and safety of the bats.
