Adult Science Night: Carnaval

To celebrate our latest IMAX documentary - Amazon Adventure - we're taking a trip to South America for a colourful night of Carnaval!

Flux School of Human Movement will be demonstrating Capoeira, including playing music on traditional instruments, then letting you give it a try too. Clothes that you can move in are highly recommended!

Stave off scurvy by testing various tropical plants for their vitamin C content. Jule Gilchrist from Cuppa T' Tea will join us from 7:30-9pm to chat about the tropical ingredients she uses in her tea blends, and will have some for you to try.

Stuart from Prairie Aquatics and Exotics Inc. will have some friendly tree frogs and a milk snake for you to meet and learn about.

See if you can fit the bill while learning about how birds' beaks have adapted to suit different diets. Then, try to build the 'Mardi Gras Amazon River' at the Encontro das Aguas with only Mardi Gras beads. This is where two branches of the Amazon meet but don't mix, so it will be quite a challenge!

Adult Science Nights are the Saskatchewan Science Centre – only for those 19+! Enjoy more advanced programming, new themes every month, a licensed bar and snacks, and all the science fun you can handle.
