The GenAction Program

Learn about Saskatchewan-based climate change research and solutions in our newly released Science Spotlights discussing Agricultural Sustainability and Water Quality.

The Saskatchewan Science Centre is participating in the GenAction Initiative to empower our youth to become leaders in climate action by increasing awareness and understanding of climate change science.

Science Spotlights

Today’s youth will form the next generation of communities working towards net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050; taking action now and in the future is essential for achieving this goal.

These spotlights highlight Saskatchewan-based research to promote youth access to locally relevant and current peer-reviewed research outcomes on climate science, resilience, and action. By taking action to combat climate change together, we can build a sustainable world for the future.

Our GenAction program inspires youth across Saskatchewan to take climate action through the delivery of climate action programming that increases awareness of climate change science and connects youth to local, peer-reviewed climate research. Our in-person outreach programs are currently being piloted, which means we are happy to bring them to schools in Regina free of charge until the end of the pilot, which is December 31, 2023. After this date, there may be a charge associated with the workshop.
